A Vigilante - Ladies Night
A figure emerges from the trees and approaches a tarp-covered car. The Woman drives to the semi-industrial suburban wasteland beyond the forest and begins her routine. She checks her phone messages. After a pause, a female voice whispers, "I’m looking out the window and the trucks won’t stop coming” - this is the code. The Woman checks into a non-descript cash motel near the address the voice gave her. She washes her gear and trains from a battered fighting manual. The next day the Woman transforms her face with drug- store make-up and goes to work. Through word of mouth the Woman methodically rids her “clients” of their domestic abusers. She wants to help. But her client’s cash and food payments fuel her most urgent mission. She is tracking down her missing husband, the man who murdered their son and left her for dead. A survivalist, he’s somewhere holed up somewhere in the mountain forests of the Adirondacks and she’s going to get him.
