The shoot took place in the alleys of Manila's Tondo, the Manila Cathedral, Manila's largest bridge called Jones Bridge, and other landmark locations of the city. The production team transformed a butcher shop into Jin' hideout, and the final showdown consisted of 6 police cruisers and 120 actual police officers and security personnel. MASTER was the first Korean film to shut down the bridge for a film shoot.
