SIFF 2025: The Beetle Project

As part of the 12th edition of the Sharjah International Film Festival screenings, the feature film "The Beetle Project" is presented. The film is set in Korea, the world’s only divided country, a plastic bag from North Korea drifts into the hands of a South Korean girl, carrying a beetle that turns out to be a North Korean boy’s summer homework. Fearing he may be desperately searching for it, she sets out to return it, and through this unlikely journey, she begins to mend her distant relationship with her father as even the long-frozen ties between North and South show a fragile chance of change.
