SIFF 2026: Student Short Animation

Part of the 13th edition of the Sharjah International Film Festival, this programme of six student short animations explores courage, care, and the lives shaped by conflict and change. In (Gauze), a young Palestinian swimmer returns to the sea to save his brother. (Marseille) follows an Algerian immigrant facing his fear of a cliffside dive and searching for belonging. In (The Flower of Malva), a grandmother tries to shield her granddaughter from the war in Ukraine. (Fellow) finds a moment of compassion between a rescue dog and a wounded soldier during the First World War. (Choupi & Zinou) reflects on caring for ageing pets, while (Mom) revisits a childhood in Cambodia transformed by the arrival of the Khmer Rouge.
