SIFF 2025: My Driver and I

As part of the 12th edition of the Sharjah International Film Festival screenings, the feature film "My Driver and I" is presented. Set in 1980s and 1990s Jeddah, this coming-of-age drama follows a spirited Saudi girl who spends her childhood crisscrossing the city with her family’s Sudanese driver. Over the years, an unexpected bond grows between them—one built on trust, laughter, and quiet rebellion. But when she begins to take the wheel herself, their friendship is tested, revealing shifting power, unspoken boundaries, and the bittersweet inevitability of growing up.
