Viceroy's House

Based on a true story of the final days of the British Empire in India, when Lord Mountbatten assumes the post of last Viceroy and was charged with handing India back to its people, living in a house with his family and 500 Hindu, Muslim and Sikh servants. As the political elite - Nehru, Jinnah and Gandhi - converged on the house to wrangle over the birth of independent India, conflict erupted which led to the creation of a new Muslim homeland: Pakistan.
